Free initial consultation - Consultations are free. I will help you work out what type of website design would best support the needs of your business or organisation.

Affordable "Per Page" price - I like to keep the website design prices simple, so you control the costs. You will have noticed that web designers never include a "price" page, this is because it is very difficult to work out a price without knowing exactly what the customer needs. Designing a web site is complex and the features are endless. Northern Web Technologies do not charge by the hour to create your website and will tell you upfront what is included. From the materials you provide, Northern Web Technologies will develop, optomize and do some basic promotion for a basic website for $280 per page. Once we agree on the number of pages your website needs, you will know the cost. A basic web page consists of a title or logo, text, from one to five images and one or two links (internal or external). A typical web site for a small business is usually about five pages.

Note: The price per page does not include your Domain Name and your Web Hosting Service. If you like I would be happy to take care of this for you.

Website Updates

Once the website is uploaded onto the internet you will be asked to inspect it and suggest any changes. Changes at this stage are normal and are free of charge. Once your website has been on the internet for about a month, website update costs will apply if you want changes made. Updating your website means providing changes which are a necessary part of keeping your website up to date. Charges for this service are $120 per hour. Website update changes are not usually time consuming as I have all your files on hand.

Website Re-design

It is difficult to give a price for redesigning or making changes to a website created by another web designer. Quotation prices will depend upon the accessibility of your existing website files and access to your Web Hosting Services control panel, customer ID and passwords.

Website Promotion - SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

Keeping up with the search engine ranking and your competition requires your website to be promoted. Initially I will ensure that your site ranks as high as possible with the search engines for the first year. If you require further maintenance the costs are $50 per month or $500 per year. If you would prefer to monitor your site and let me know when it needs re-optimising then the charges will be $65 per hour.

Website Promotion - Internet Marketing

This is probably the most important part of having a website that sells or promotes a product or service. Keep in mind that results are not seen immediately. This is basically what I do and how it works:

• Your site is researched for its potential target traffic
• Reports are generated
• Your website is added to relevant categories in directories (free ones only - unless you request otherwise)
• Emails are sent to relevant sites
• Reciprocal links are applied to your site where necessary
• Replies start coming in and more emails are continually sent, reminders are also sent out
• Your site starts getting replies and links
• The search Engines re index your site (All search engines work differently - time allowed for re-indexing is from 2 weeks to 3 months)
• After this you should start to notice a change in traffic to your site and sales should gradually start to increase

Because of the time it takes search engines to re-index it is a good idea to do a lot of promotion in the beginning and less later. Website Promotion should be a part of your business budget if you want to make sales from your site. The price for this service is $65 per hour.
